Oregon Coast Elopement {Jennifer & Rick}

Have I mentioned how much I love Oregon Coast elopements? Perhaps just one time or perhaps a hundred times. It’s true though, and each one is unique and filled with so much love and personal heartfelt touches. Jennifer and Rick’s Beverly Beach wedding this past July was exactly that.

I met Jennifer and Rick at the main yurt on Beverly Beach State Park. The couple and their guests were staying at the campground, so we all walked down to the beach from the yurt for their ceremony. Jennifer’s son walked her down the aisle, through the sand, to where Rick, his two sons, and their guests were waiting. I love how everyone embraced getting their toes wet to get to the ceremony destination. Those are some of my favorite parts of any beach wedding.

They said their vows with just their closest family and friends in attendance. Jennifer looked absolute stunning in her yellow dress from Baltic Born. Newport Florist and Gifts did a beautiful job on the florals that complemented the yellow dress. After the wedding, we took photos on the beach and then walked back to the yurt for their reception and celebration.

One of the most incredible personal touches and something I had never seen at a wedding before, was that Jennifer surprised Rick with a wedding song written specifically for them by Brendon Donoho Music at Songfinch. As they danced their first dance as a married couple and guests listened to the words of the song about their story, tears were flowing and tissues were being passed around. It was a beautiful moment. Every part of the wedding had special meaning to them, including their ring box and Rick’s ring made out of wood, antler, and fishing line from Northern Royal. They danced and ate delicious barbecue into the evening. It was perfection and I was honored to capture the day for this wonderful couple.
