Cape Kiwanda Wedding {Clara & Steven}
Clara and Steven’s Cape Kiwanda wedding took place on a very windy Oregon Coast day. Their ceremony was at McPhillips Beach on the north side of Pacific City in the early evening. Guests waited on the beach for the bride and Clara’s veil immediately flew off as she got out of the car with her Dad. Everyone laughed it off and embraced the weather. Ernie with EC Matrimonies performed their beautiful ceremony and their families looked on at the couple as they said their vows in the sand by the ocean.
After the ceremony, Clara and Steven drove to the other side of the Cape Kiwanda dune for some photos in a location that was a bit more sheltered from the wind. But the walk to get there was WINDY! Their guests all enjoyed drinks and appetizers at Pelican Brewing Company while the bride and groom enjoyed some time together.
I love the Oregon Coast for its variety of landscapes and even this little stretch of beach in Pacific City is a great example of the different views you can get in a very short distance. Tides make a big difference in this location near the dune, but it’s a great place to experience a gorgeous setting sun on the Oregon Coast.
Clara and Steven joined their family and friends for a delicious dinner at the brewery. It was a perfect, laidback, wonderful way to celebrate the newlyweds. The ocean views at Pelican Brewery are just icing on the cake. When the sun was just perfectly setting on the dune, I grabbed the bride and groom and we ran down the beach one more time for some photos in the amazing coast light. I love it when it works out for this to happen, when I can pull the couple away for even a few minutes to run out into the sunset.
