Waterfall Elopement {Ellis & Krispin}

It was truly an honor when Ellis contacted me and asked if I would capture some photos of them and their partner Krispin after their waterfall elopement. I know Ellis as a fellow photographer and local photography group organizer. I have spent time with them at several photography events and styled photography sessions over the years. Whenever another photographer asks you to photograph them, it is an honor (and admittedly, somewhat nerve-wracking). But I had no hesitation and was excited to photograph their love story.

Ellis and Krispin had actually exchanged vows a few days prior to this session. They had hiked into this gorgeous waterfall with just a few family members and friends by their side. They wanted their photo session to be in the same location as their wedding, but they wanted a more private and intimate experience. So we hiked back to the place where they said “I do” just days earlier, wearing the suits they had worn during their ceremony. It was a perfect Oregon morning in the trees with the sun shining through and the waterfall in the background of their photos. While I have spent a lot of time in the area surrounding this location, it was the first time I had gone to this particular waterfall and it was breathtaking. I look forward to returning again another day.

Are you getting married in 2024? I would love to capture your intimate wedding or elopement, or even an after-wedding session like Ellis and Krispin chose to do. There are so many beautiful Oregon locations and we can find the perfect one for you!

Heidi Heaphy Photography is currently booking 2024 elopements, intimate weddings, senior sessions, families, and other portraits. Meet me at a waterfall, the Oregon Coast, or elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest or beyond!
