Cannon Beach Family {Quarnberg Family}

Family sessions in Cannon Beach are always a favorite of mine. It was fun meeting the Quarnberg family last summer on a beautiful Oregon Coast evening. This family had traveled from Utah to enjoy the Pacific Northwest, and while they found the ocean a bit chilly, it didn’t stop them from getting their feet wet.

As with all Oregon Coast sessions, it is essential to factor in the tides during your session. This particular location is a favorite of mine whether it’s high tide or low tide. It offers a huge variety of landscapes, beach grass, sandy pathways, and epic views. There is plenty of beach even during higher tides. On summer evenings during golden hour, I can stay here for hours soaking it all in. As the sun starts to set behind the horizon in this location, the light is perfection. It is truly one of my favorite places to just watch the sky change.

I loved the dynamic this family had with each other. They were silly and fun and up for anything. That’s always the best way to approach a photography session!
