Oregon Coast Photographer | Covering the Oregon Coast {Vol 8} Sunset Silhouettes at Moolack Beach

This summer night at the Oregon coast is one of those that I will never forget.  My parents, sisters & families, and father-in-law spent several nights at a rented beach house near Newport last August with our family.  They all drove from Montana to Oregon  for a little getaway.  We celebrated my oldest son's 6th birthday, we explored new and familiar places at the coast, we watched whales and fished for crab.  I was beyond honored to photograph Sara and Fintan's beautiful and intimate Yachats wedding during this visit as well.On this particular night, the sun was just beginning to go down and the light was just perfect from our house.  My parents, sisters, and I jumped up and got the five cousins ready for an evening adventure in the sand.  Our beach house was near Beverly Beach, but we knew time was limited and we would need to park and walk a ways from that beach.  So we loaded up in our cars and went to the closest turnout off the highway, which happened to be Moolack Beach.  The access point was not easily accessible, so we held hands and traversed down the steep sandy pathway together.  And then we ran and ran into the sand and the water and into the fading sun.  We flew a kite and stomped in the pools of water.  We attempted to herd the kids together for the perfect silhouette shot, but then just let them run.  We stayed until there was no light left and returned to our husbands at the beach house.  I will truly never forget this Oregon coast adventure.  More of our adventures from this trip are still to come.Are you looking for an Oregon coast photographer for your family photos, elopement, or special event?
