Portland Elopement {Tina & Micah}

It is always the best compliment to hear from someone you have photographed in the past and they refer you to others. In this case, Micah’s best friend was a bridesmaid in a lovely wedding I had photographed a few years back and she contacted me about photographing Tina and Micah’s upcoming elopement at their home in Portland. I just love photographing elopements and intimate weddings, especially when they are so personal and meaningful to the couple.

I met Tina and Micah about 2 weeks before their wedding date at their home. It made me so excited for their day. It is a gorgeous home and yard, beautiful trees and flowers outside, simple and perfect details inside. They decided on a morning elopement with just their families and close friends in attendance.

On the day of the wedding, I photographed their guests drinking mimosas, Micah getting ready for the ceremony, and their flower girls jumping on the trampoline in their dresses. The couple’s dogs played a big part in their wedding and had the most adorable outfits for the occasion. The dogs and Micah waited at the bottom of their staircase for Tina to make her grand entrance. She looked absolutely stunning. Tina’s dad walked her down their backyard steps to Micah and their guests waiting in the yard. It was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony.

After the ceremony, we took photos both inside their house and in their yard. It turned out to be a beautiful August morning in Portland. Then Tina, Micah, and all of their guests left for a Portland brunch to celebrate the day.
