Covering the Oregon Coast {Vol. 10} Sunset at Seal Rock

This past July my husband had a rare long weekend off, which also happened to be 4th of July weekend, so we decided to spend it exploring the southern Oregon coast.  It has been several years since we've been very far south on the coast, but making vacation plans right before a holiday weekend doesn't give many options.  So we ended up finding a place to stay on the central Oregon coast and decided to explore that area instead.  In our attempt to cover the entire coast and see new places as much as possible, we spent a few days adventuring to places we've never been, but still found ourselves enjoying well-loved and previously-visited places too.  Spending sunset at Seal Rock was one of those new experiences.We have driven by Seal Rock when traveling between Newport and Yachats many times, but we had never stopped until this visit.  We went before sunset and the light shining through the trees on the walk to the Oregon coast was magical.  Our boys spent hours on the nearly-empty beach throwing sand, catching coastal bugs, and jumping and chasing the waves.  It was one of those perfectly unforgettable beach days.I will be sharing more from this trip soon, including a very windy day spent running up and down the dunes at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area near Florence and other new to us beaches.  The Oregon coast never, ever gets old to us.To see more of our Oregon coast adventures, check out our Heaphys Cover the Coast series.  I have so many adventures to add to it and will soon.  Also, to see more sessions at the Oregon coast click HERE.  Oregon coast elopements, weddings, and portrait sessions are some of my absolute favorites.Heidi Heaphy Photography is a wedding and portrait photographer located in Portland, Oregon with frequent session dates at the Oregon coast.  I am currently booking 2017 Oregon coast elopements, weddings, seniors, and family sessions.  Contact me to schedule your own Oregon coast session.
